Google pulls 'Remove China Apps' from playstore
Remove china apps, an app that gained popularity in india in recent weeks and did exactly what it name suggests, has been pulled from the playstore.
The trending app in india and almost more than 5 million downloads and had 4.9 rating and 196k reviews since late may and enables users to detect and easily delete apps developed by china firms, was pulled from google play store for violating its "Deceptive Behaviour Policy".
According to this policy an app on google playstore cannot make changes to user's device settings, or features outside of the app without the users knowledge and consent, and not it can encourage or incentivise users into removing or disabling third-party apps.
The app developed by indian firm OneTouch AppLabs gained popularity in india in part because of growing anti-china sentiment among many citizens as tension between the world's two most popular nation's has escalated in recent days over a Himalayan border dispute.
And due to this removal of 'Remove China Apps' from playstore many questions were rising in citizens mind's i.e., is Google really supporting china?; and most of the people tweeting like 'Google is dancing on china tune'. They are strongly believing that Google is supporting china. Because Google is banned in china on march 30, 2010 and still why Google is allowing chinese apps on playstore, but the reason is still unknown.
we have to know that Google will remove apps from playstore which are against to their policies.
India's prime minister Narendra Modi has also aggressively promoted the Idea of Boycotting goods made by foreign firms and advised nation's 1.3 billion citizens to look for local alternatives as part of his push to make india "self-reliant" and revive the Slowing Economy.
